Description

I'm playing a Les Paul style guitar for this song, but any guitar is suitable to play this tune. The tones have much more to do with the amp settings and effects used.

As far as amps go, any Vox AC30 style tube amp is a great choice. For Guitars 1 and 3, dial in a clean sound with a little breakup for some edge. As for the amp settings, set the bass to 45%, mid to 55%, treble to 65%, and presence to 75%. Add some reverb for depth.

For Guitar 2, kick in a tube screamer for more overdrive and midrange thickness. Guitar 3 uses a slap back echo effect that enhances the vibe of the tune.

I used a 10-46 string gage, with a heavy pick so I can dig right into those arpeggiations and solos! Here are the settings I used:

Vox AC30 Model:
Drive: 40% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treb: 60% Presence: 65%
Tube Screamer (Guitar 2):
Drive: 75% Tone: 50%
SlapBack Echo (Guitar 3):
Time: 105ms Feedback: 10% Wet/DryMIX: 45%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 45%
