Like rhythm guitar 2, the lead guitar is just vamping the first part of the chorus riff, staying in A, and not moving to the other chords of the chorus. As important as it is for the rhythm guitar to stay in pocket and lay down the groove, the responsibility is mutually shared with this lead guitar.

It's all about listening to each other in the band and understanding each others feel. Bandmates can have great time and feel individually but if you can't lock in with each other and create a collective groove, individual time is also useless. This was one of the strongest elements in the Beatles and one of their keys to success; the ability to play and sing with each other like very few other bands have done in history.
