I've chosen a Les Paul style guitar for this tutorial, but any guitar with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position will be a great choice for this tune. The humbucker provides plenty of power and clarity when playing power chords through a distorted amp.

Concerning amps, any Marshall style tube amp is a great choice. Set the gain control for medium crunch. Guitars 2 and 3 will use a touch less gain, and also add some chorus for that semi-clean 80's guitar sound.

For guitar 3, you'll want to switch to a middle pickup or a combination of your bridge and neck pickup to get a different tone for the part. Add a touch of reverb for some added depth. Check out the settings I used:

Marshall Plexi model: Drive: 55% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treble: 65% Presence: 60%

Chorus effect: Rate: 20% Depth: 65% Wet/DryMIX: 35%

Spring Reverb: Wet/DryMIX: 40%
