Description
Our solo section is a break in the song where all the instruments are creating a huge palette of licks and melodies. The acoustic guitar is playing the role of supporting these instruments with a strong rhythm, where as the lead guitar is playing a series of solo licks to suite the part. Here are some key points to help you through it:
1. The acoustic switches to a more supportive role and focuses on keeping the hits tight and the rhythm strong. Where as the chords are slightly different to our intro, the hits are all played the same with the emphasis on the "and" of 3 and 4.
2. The electric guitar plays some solo licks using similar melodic ideas to our third verse, and fits nicely into the arrangement. These licks do so by playing every other measure.
3. There are 4 licks that are played in this section.
