In this tutorial I'm gonna teach you how to play the classic song "Susie Q", as made famous by Creedence Clearwater Revival. This is probably the most famous cover version of this great song, originally made famous by Dale Hawkins. Creedence' version of this song features a ton of great rhythm and lead guitar playing, and the original album version was over eight minutes long. It was later split it up into part 1 and part 2, and today we're gonna break down every note of part 1 starting with the classic riff down in the open position. The other guitar part is very simple, and compliments this riff extremely well. We're gonna break down the first guitar solo with the interesting bends, the second signature guitar solo, the third guitar solo that goes on until the track fades, and much more. So as you can tell from this, there will be no shortage of lead playing in this tutorial. And if you wanna go learn part 2 afterwards, this tutorial will give you all the tools you need to go learn the rest on your own.

We're gonna talk about how to imitate the tone and attitude and much more. The song is in 4/4 and the quarter note equals 130 bpm, so let's dive right into it!
