In this tutorial I'm gonna teach you how to play the classic song "Willie The Wimp", as made famous by the one and only Stevie Ray Vaughan. This is the classic song that tells the story of a Chicago mobster who was buried in a Cadillac shaped coffin. It was only ever released as a live version, so that's the version we'll be breaking down today.

The whole song is based on a call & response between the main riff - played and harmonized by the whole band - and the vocal phrases telling the story of Willie The Wimp. You'll notice that there's an extra rhythm guitar harmonizing this riff. This guitar part also adds the really cool single note comping while he's singing.

Then there's the first epic guitar solo and the outro solo that we'll break down as well. We're gonna talk about his use of effects, the song form, and much more. The song is in 4/4 and the quarter note equals 136 bpm, so let's get to work!
