Description

The first thing we're going to do before we start jamming is tune our guitar one half step down (from low to high): Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, and Eb.

Take notice that I'm calling out the actual pitch of the notes and chords as opposed to using the common position names. For example, when you see me playing a chord at the 7th fret on the 5th string it will look like an E chord, but I'll be calling it an Eb. When I play the boogie riff on the open 5th string, it looks like an A but I will be calling it an Ab.

One of the biggest lessons that a guitar player can take away from a song like this is the rhythm playing. I can't underline enough how important it is to get it right and get down with the groove. A lot of guitar players take the rhythm playing for granted, but it's important to get the rhythm parts right with all the subdivisions and the movement in the right hand.
