We are going to use a lot of jazzy chords to play this 16 bar blues. This will give it a bit more of a sophisticated sound. We will also learn a few licks to use as fills to play instead of chords in some places.

We will use a C9 and an F9 for the I and IV chords. Then we'll use G9 and G13 for the V chord. We'll also add the ornamental note to the F9 to get an F13 in a similiar way. We'll also add some licks to extend both the V and IV chords! These licks are really nifty because they outline the chords perfectly.

Take your time with these chords if you haven't seen them before! Make sure you can play them cleanly and smoothly.
