A lone guitar starts off the tune riffing on an A power chord. Watch out for the very specific palm muting that happens off the top. We ease out of that after 2 bars and get a bit more aggressive with the part. Note the form of the chord progression, a simple I IV V blues progression, that repeats all throughout the song.

While this song sticks to the framework established with the first verse, there are many improvised nuances and variations to dig into throughout the song. I've provided a few examples in the video, so be sure to watch closely in the performance lesson and study the transcription to maximize your toolkit of southern rock rhythms.
