In this example, I put in a couple of alternate picking bursts in between the power chords. In metal, you refer to this rhythm as a "reverse gallop", since it's the Iron Maiden type gallop played backwards. If you want to get technical, a gallop is one 8th note followed by two 16th notes. A reverse gallop is two 16th notes followed by an 8th note.
