Guitar Tricks 76: 3-String Sweeps

This week we follow up Ben Lindholm's series on sweep picking. We started with two string sweeps as the foundation to help beginning sweepers grasp the concept and technical ability.

This week Ben moves you up to three string sweeps. The arpeggio examples you'll learn here will have you sounding like a metal master and you'll be on your way to full-sweep madness!

The tip of the week is to use you metronome to practice difficult fast licks. Set the metronome so you can barely play along, right at the limit of your skills, then play at half speed. But occasionally do a burst of speed to see if you can challenge yourself and get past your own speed limit!
