A nice way to add a little flavor to the CAD tuning is by tuning the B string up a half-step to C, and the E string down a half-step to Eb.

Since Eb is the minor third of C, and G is the fifth, our three high strings now form a C minor chord. Of course you will have to adjust your chords to this, but it really gives you the opportunity to get sounds with the open strings that you simply can't get in standard tuning.

You can use the Reference Tuner and manually change the notes to tune your guitar to CADGCEb (it says D# instead of Eb in the tuner).
