Is it just me or does anyone else hear a song on the radio and say to themselves, I can play that? Only to look up the tabs and then say, thats beyond me...

Yep. Just the other day. Loved the idea of playing I'll Be Here in the Morning (TVZ) and also Rocky Mountain High but the fingerpicking is still way beyond me on both and they just don't sound right with a strum.

Happens all the time :) I hear songs I think I can play, look them up on UGT and "nope, I cant play this yet" (but one day I will be able to :) )

Certainly happens to me a lot. Makes you appreciate how good these professional musicians really are, though I`ve been able to get a few of the easier fingerpicking tunes under my belt. I`m looking to learn " I`ve got a name" by Jim Croce. The strumming is not too difficult but that cool fingerpicking in the bridge will be quite the challenge.
