Hello, I’ m Jan, 47 years old and finally stopped dreaming, bought a Squier Affinity stratocaster pack to bring some music in my live. I’m an absolute beginner but I’'m determined to play blues, rock and everything between those 2 styles. For now, I’m concentrating on the basics and I’m still trying to toughen up my fingertips.
Hello from Belgium
Good luck sore fingers. Soon you will be changing your name to "tough as nails"
This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

I truly hope so
Hi Jan. I've been at this for almost four months and just recently my fingers got tough enough to practise longer than fifteen minutes. I'm up to 55 minutes now and making, of course, much more daily progress.
Hello from North Carolina, USA. Ice is really good for sore finger tips after practice, at least it helped me. Congratulations on your new guitar journey!
Hello Blakeney8, my fingers are ok now. I didn’t use ice, but practised for short sessions 2 or 3 times a day. After one week I already felt a significant improvement and now, after a bit more than 2 weeks, the strings don’t hurt me anymore.
And for you too, good luck on your guitar journey.
