Hello

Hi everyone,[br]I bought my first guitar about 25 years ago but gave up trying to self-learn back then as I assumed I just didn't have the talent for it. Now I'm determined to try again and have just joined Guitar Tricks which I am hoping will give me the necessary structure to learn the 'right way' systematically along with practice and commitment. I've traded in my old Takamine guitar and just bought a Taylor GS Mini as I think the smaller body size feels more comfortable. The new guitar arrives within the next few weeks and in the meantime I've been watching some tutorials. So far they are great and I'm looking forward to getting started.

Hi Cara, welcome! I've been working at the fundamentals lessons methodically for a month or so now and I'm very pleased with my progress. Talent is an external measure. If you feel the music and anjoy your practice, what else matters?

I've only had a miserable, cheap, ancient classical guitar. I should receive my new Taylor Academy next week. I'm really looking forward to easier action and great sound.

Hi Cara, welcome! I've been here for a few weeks now and really like it and have learned a lot! I'm also doing the fundamentals course. I too tried teaching myself through other means but needed the structure here, and it was a good decision. How fun to be getting a new Taylor!
