Advice for someone who's never held a guitar.
Want to learn electric guitar so I purchased an Ibanez ART120, mini amp and accessories.
There is so much out there about learning, I don't know where to begin. YouTube, Learn how to read music, Read book?Due to the virus in person learning not an option. Also have low speed internet so live 2 way FaceTime etc not an option either.
Goal: Proficient for home playing
Time: Can easily do an hour a day
Short term expectations: Learn correctly and efficiently
Analogy-
As an expert motorcycle rider I learned the correct way and many years later it has paid off. Some people that have been riding 30 years and still a hot mess because in the beginning did not learn correctly and now their muscle memory can't be undone. I don't want to be that guy with a guitar because I screwed up in the begining.

Hi
Start with the fundamentals 1 and work your way through that and fundamentals 2. Try to practice everyday even if its just for 15 minutes, it helps with the muscle memory, pay attention to the music theory as it will make you a better player. Listen to your body especially in the beginning when you start building the calouses on your fingers. Latly enjoy what you are doing, its a life long journey.
Enjoy the journey
