I'm looking for an amp that has both the exciting Marshall rock sound and the smooooth fender jazz sound.

I looked into those modeling amps like line, peavey, mustang, but in the case of line/peavey, they can only do rock, and the fender mustang Gt can only do jazz (rock premodels were terrible). Could the yamaha thr do both perhaps?

suggestions would be appreciated, thanks very much

Most modelling amps can do that these days: Line 6, Boss, Fender, Peavey. Have you tried playing through a Vyper or Mustang? I've tried each of them & I know I've gotten super clean blues-jazz tones & heavy rock tones from each.

I recently got a Boss Katana & did some brief demos to show how versatile it is.

Hey guys! I also need some help with choosing my very first amp. I'm 17, started learning to play almost 5 years ago and really enjoy it. I find garage and psychedelic sound suitable for me the most. I have a so-called "band" and we're all green, so please don't flame (: [br]I've googled quite a lot and found out VOX have really good feedback, esp. in this review https://wisepick.org/best-modeling-amp/[br]And I'm actually considering to buy the top 1 amp from this list https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017KBLIPW/[br](primarily because it has a quite cheap 40W model and we don't have much money yet)[br]So, did anyone have experience with it and what's your opinion? If not, what will be your personal suggestion under $250? Maybe there's even a reason for buying solid or tube amp? Also, is 40W enough for backyard gigs? [br]Thanks in advance!

Recently I spent quite a bit of time reading reviews and watching videos about all those same amps and finally decided to order the Katana 50 today :-)

Hi....polytones are jazz amps, pretty much. they're extremely good at it, but i'd never bring my minibrute to a rock gig--the sounds just ain't in there. the cube is more versatile. my final take on the cube is that it doesn't do anything perfectly, but it does pretty much everything more than adequately.
