Got to http://pages.prodigy.net/aj5000

The examples are in A, but for F major all you have to do is shift them all to the left four frets.

Urrrmmmm....Dorian isn't the Major Scale, that's Ionian...Scales in F are as follows

F Ionian (I Major)
G Dorian (II Minor)
A Phrygian (III Minor)
Bb Lydian (IV Major)
C Mixalodian (V Major, misspelt too)
D Aelion (VI Minor, Relative minor)
E Locrian (VII Minor)

Hopefully that's helped....Contact me if you need more help

Any scale pattern can be in F. For example, G Ionian is like this..

E---------------------------2-3--]
B-----------------------3-5------]
G-----------------2-4-5----------]
D-----------2-4-5----------------]
A-----2-3-5----------------------]
E-3-5----------------------------]

And to make it in F, just move it up to the 13th fret. Or you could move it down to the first fret.

Here it is at the 13th fret(I find it much easier here than at the first).

E---------------------------------------12-13
B---------------------------------13-15------
G------------------------12-14-15------------
D----------------12-14-15--------------------
A-------12-13-15-----------------------------
E-13-15--------------------------------------

You can take any scale in any key and find an F note other than the note it starts on and start it on the F. Hope this helps you understand a bit better.
