Hi all...my name is Sherif, a 21 years-ood male from Egypt. I play classical guitar. I'm not that perfect, but I really love playing and figuring out songs. My sources for musical knoledge are the Net and a friend of mine. My problem is that I had a problem figuring out the chords of some Gypsy Kings songs. I have fair knowledge about scales and modes, especially major scale, but I have some difficulties with minor scales. So please can anyone help me about both problems? I mean scales and chords that Gypsy Kings use, and a place - I mean on the Net - where I can read about more about major and minor scales ?..... thanks a lot :)

Hi Sherif ,frogman from England here. Not a great fan of Gypsy Kings but I know what they do.

Try the Harmonic minor scale,it goes :
Root,major 2nd,minor 3rd,4th,5th,minor 6th,major 7th.

They also use the 5th mode of this scale a lot-and oddly it is often referred to as the Spanish Phrygian scale and
sometimes Spanish Gypsy scale(not a direct reference to them)
It goes:
Root,minor 2nd,major 3rd,4th,5th,minor 6th,minor 7th.

Hope that helps, good luck with it.
