My amp had crappy Groove Tube 6l6's. I wanted a classic brit sound, I got it with this-and more. These babies are sweet!!! and even better when saturated. Lotsa headroom.

I hope you had your amp re-biased after the switch. The grid voltages between a 6L6 and EL34 is very different. If you haven't had this done, I'd get it done asap before you use the amp again.

I hold that the G stands for garbage, not groove.
