Why do all lessons start out muted?

I have to tap the volume icon for every lesson because they all start out with no sound. Any way to change this?

Just chiming into say I prefer it that way. That way, if I'm somewhere where it wouldn't be okay to have audio, I'm not accidentally blasting it out of my speakers. :-)
