Is there anyway to change this? it's kinda annoying that every new lesson starts off muted, i tend to keep forgetting and miss the first few bits of audio and then have to start again.

Small issue, but rather strange this is the default, why would you do this?

Are you watching on an Android tablet or iOS desktop or tablet?

Lessons and tutes don't do it on the Win10 OS desktop, although I do recall encounting this myself in the past. I think it was on my Android tablet if I recall. So observation suggests it an OS specific related 'feature'.

And yes, I agree it's not dealbreaker, but it is annoying when it occurs as default.

If you are using Safari or Chrome on the desktop, check out this support article.

I've been unable to find any workaround for iOS.

I'm typing this from within Firefox having just tested it, encountered the muted by default issue, and fixed it.

[br]Go into Firefox Options, Select Privacy & Security, scroll down to Permissions and either uncheck (default) block websites from automatically playing sound or make an exception for Guitar Tricks by clicking on its Exceptions dialogue box to the right and following the instructions.

Thanks! That did the trick.

Agree. This is very annoying. Hope it's fixed soon...

The Firefox "Exceptions" approach didn't work for me initially. I had to use "https..." in the web address, and that solved the problem. Using "hpps..." didn't work.

BTW, I haven't noticed this occuring with any other video content sites. Appears to me that this started as a GT setting issue.
