Hi,

I started my journey of guitar playing 3 years ago. I have been associated with GT as a full access member for 2 years. Currently I am following finger style picking lessons. I want to learn the Flemenco style of guitar playing. I tried to find lessons on this, but, could not find one on GT. Please suggest how to approach this technique.

Thank you

Hi,

I would suggest:

https://flamencoexplained.com/

Buy the book and watch the video lessons or buy a book/DVD combination from:

https://www.graf-martinez.com/

Good luck!

I missed this earlier! Unfortunately we don't have many lesson on flamenco. I mention it in the context of classical guitar style.

And this song tutorial on Malaguena uses a flamenco style strum for one section.

Hope that helps!

To be frank...I think Flamenco is one of those styles you absolutley need to learn one-to-one...I've been taking private lessons from a Spaniard here in singapore for 4 months. He is very strict buty, it's really different experience to learning from videos....

Flamenco is such a technical style, I think it's important to have someoen who can correct you immediatly so you don't get bad habits...
