Its a fairly new band, there first cd kind of sucks, but Avenged Sevenfold-"Waking the fallen" is a awsome Cd in my opinion, it has that nice mix of awsome song writing and good technical work, reminds me of old 80's metal that dosent suck. anyone have any opinions on that cd?

I like bits and pieces. Their guitar work can be interesting.

Does anyone know what type of gear they use? Amps? Guitars? Effects? Some of the guitar sounds seem to be very high-end and treblely. Any ideas of what they use to get that sound?

Yea it probably does belong in Fmaous Bands and Artists. But Avenged Sevenfold are great. Their new CD City Of Evil is muscially more advanced than Waking the Fallen but its all good. And the vocalist doesnt scream anymore btw.

The guitarists play Schecter and Gibson guitars and they use Mesa amps and Bogner Uberschall amps.

Commanding the_eggman to move posts to the correct section of the forum is like commanding General Patton to attack the German Army.
