Welll key of "c" works well..... always use open chords....

hang on ill type it out....

C F C G C
Happy Birthday To You

repeat.....
Happy Birthday to you

C G F F D C
Happy Birthday dear my niece

G F C F C
Happy Birthday to you

I knew it had some 1-4-5 chord thing (oh the "d" is a secondary 7th or watever thats called)

I don't know if its right.... but fingerpick it with an alternating bass
root/5th/root/5th

just try a bunch of different options till you find one rite to you
I don know if this will show up rite when actually posted though

I play it like it's sung, here's a tab I made for you:

At first I thought, "Wow, this guy is really over the top, wishing his guitar a happy birthday!". Then I read the post.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Please excuse the brainfart recently experienced by my fellow maplemusician. I think it's directly related to our 5+% beer. :)

Hey, how'd you know? But I only had a couple. It was the new Sleeman Cream Ale in a keg... Wow, that was smooth! And ice cold!
... and that's all I have to say about that.
