I would assume that you can do it just the same, just at louder volumes.

An example of this is with the Deluxe Reverb / Twin Reverb.

With the deluxe, you can overdrive it at a lower volume than overdriving a twin (considering you didn't hit the 25W switch).

See where I'm going at?

It's a guess, but it sounds right to me.

So because its now twice as powerful ill have to play it twice as loud to get the equivalent feedback as I was getting when it was a half stack?

I have a Marshall Avt 150 half stack, and wondered if it was worth shelling out the bucks for the full stack.

If someone wouldnt mind could you tell me the benefits and drawbacks of full stack v half stack.

Well... I kinda disagree about a full stack being a waste of money if your a bedroom guitarist. The elevation and great surface of sound being ommited sounds better Id say. also, lol, for easy of use the controls on the head at at eye line.. and erm... well...
Basically you can get a 2nd cab of ebay cheap, and if you dont want it anymore you can but it back on ebay and get yer money back, so its worth a try.
Ha ha I have pics of my girlfriend standing infront of my full stack.. sweet!

The other thing to consider is that too much volume on stage is a real pain in the ass not just for you but also for the rest of the band. Drowning out the drums and monitors is just disastrous, sure a full stack looks cool, unless you have to stand in front of it and try and hear your que from the drummer / singer/bass player or keep time with the rest of the band / try and finish the song together.

A half stack is more than enough and an Auralex Gramma is much cheaper than a 4x12 !

Loud amps on stage = big no no.
