I just caught a glimpse of Jason Becker's Hot Licks video....and WOW he's amazing.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

What happened to him?? I know he got hurt and he can't play anymore, but I dont know the circumstances. But yeah he was a sick guitarist, Serrana is a really cool piece.

D@mn! That is pretty messed up. :( Hopefully medicine can advance far enough to where we can cure stuff like that in the future.

I can't imagine how he's feeling now.Coz,I think, music is about letting out stuff you can't let out any other way. Then to have the one way ****ed up.That has tobe ****ed up.Maybe when we all die and go to heaven(most of you tho will go to hell :D),he'll be able to play what he would be playing now.
So you didn't know.I'm a bit spiritual.

Yeah, but still.I mean, you understand the virtues of improvising, right?I think it just isn't the same thing.Try talking to your girlfriend face to face, then try writing her, you'll see it just isn't the same.
I heard, though, that Beethoven wrote some of his best works when he was deaf, and he'd conduct this huge thing and when it was over, one of the people in the orchestra would gesture to him to look at the crowd's reaction coz he couldn't hear it.
