STONE TEMPLE PILOTS frontman Scott Weiland has been officially selected as the vocalist for the new band featuring former GUNS N' ROSES members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. According to Arlett Vereecke, the publicist for the group, "no official band name" has yet been chosen for the project, which was previously rumored to be calling itself RELOADED.

Listening to Metallicas dire album St Anger reminded me just how awesome slash is. His Aint Life Grand Album is superb and if little stuff Ive heard from "The Project" is anything to go by they are gona kick ass!! They have a genuine rock mentalilty which at the moment no other band possesses!!
