Have you ever played through a Pod, this is not how they work !!!!

You can plug them into the front of an amp but they are at there best (IMHO) going direct into a desk.

On the strength of the pod (Pro) which is the single best bit of kit I have, and for that, have ever owned in 20 years of playing the guitar (that is a lot of different axes and amps kids !!!) I am more inclined to give the Variax a go
