Hi I'm new to guitar and as a 50 year old I've joined guitar tricks.
I've noticed that the beginning lessons that it's upside down on notation or am I missing something, I'd like to see the notes light up as you play it and the 0 1 2 3 4 light up as you play each note. I feel a bit lost

thanks

Welcome

those interactive notes etc aren't something we're likely to get anytime soon.

We know what GT is like when we join up. This is it. So no big changes.

notation upside down ?

Are you confused that the string nearest the floor is notated on the top line of tab or the musical stave. That's musical convention. Highest string is top line . Think of it by pitch rather than where it's sited on the guitar.
just some of the quandaries of guitar. You go down the fretboard to the head. The high string is on the bottom. Learn the strings as 1 to 6. 1 near the ground coming up to 6.

top line on tab is number 1 string bottom line is number 6 string.
It all comes clear over time.

Welcome again, just stick at it and always post your questions. We all started from the same place
