I am stuggling with coming up with a practice routine. I am a beginner and started with the beginner courses. I am having difficulty with getting my fingers to reach some of the chords. Are there exercises to help with this and I could use some help with developing a daily practice routine.

Thanks for any help you can provide,

Troy E.

Check out this series of tutorials on Practicing
There is also a lot of discussion in the forums on developing a practice routine.

It takes time.  Every day you get better and you will see that progress.  You will absolutely hit walls and you know what's good to do in those situations?  Go WAY back in the course material and just restart.  You will notice how much you've improved and it'll give you some solid confidence that "you got this"

Fucking go get after it now :)

Hey ya'll... My wife and I are first time learners! We started the core series and they seem to think we know chords! Ha! Am I starting in the wrong place? Thanks

Hi,
I would highly recommend starting with Lisa's course. She is so good about giving you the fundamentals that you'll need and will start you slowly allowing you to build to playing chords. She's great for absolute beginners!

You can practice transitioning between chords slowly and methodically. Start with two chords and practice switching between them until you can do it smoothly and without hesitation. Then gradually add more chords to your practice routine.
