So far I know the Pentatonic Blues scale, 7th chords, and have recently stumbled upon the root 5 9th chord. What are some other very useful blues scales?? Popular or non-popular ones are fine. And if I can find them here on gutiar tricks or not. I seem to always find the same scales in the "scales" link at the top of the home-page. Everyone jsut calls them different names, however they are all pentatonic. If there are any more experienced players out there who have a different scale, I would very much appreciate it if you could help me find some more scales/chords.

I like a variety of 7ths Esp. min7ths and 7+9 and 9ths. I use all of these in "Hands off" (http://www.trinkit.net/HandsOff.mp3), which uses the following prog:

D9th, A min7 D9th, Amin7, E9th, D9th, E7+9

Hope this helps

There is a major blues scale and minor blues (the minor being more poular). Overlapping the 2 will bring you endless possibilities.
G Minor Blues; G Bb C C#/Db D F
G Major Blues; G A A#/Bb B D E

BB King plays uses the major blues a lot.

When you overlap, you have the beginnings to jazz and/or fusion. You'll find out with overlapping pents, you'll get all of the weird scales, scales, improperly named scales, etc. Pents give a measure of control. Altering pents is another great tool and toy.
