Hi,

I'm still on Guitar Fundamentals 2 and a beginner.

I was at home and and I have a friend visiting my house and I happened to be looking at the reply message from Mr. Christopher Schlegel on the forum and gave a very useful hint. My friend saw the reply and he was interested in joining GuitarTricks. He asked a lot and there's a question I can't answered , my friend asked can I choose another instructor. Coincidentally, when I was learning Fundamental Guitar Lessons my instructors were Ms. Lisa and Mr. Anders.

Then I showed him by choosing Experience Lessons as a sample, and picked Blues lessons and the page shows Mr. Anders as the instructor, and I choosed another lessons, Rock lessons and the instructor was Mr. Anders again and so on. I searched around for instructor change options in Experience Lessons page but couldn't find any buttons, drop-down menus to change instructors.

Then I went to the Home page and choosed "Instructor" menu and picked several instructors but the content of the lesson had no chapters and was mix of all genres, in fact there were only two or three tutorials.

Then my friend helped tried to find changing instructor options, buttons, and other features on the website, but there was no option to change instructors.

The question from both of us is whether the instructor chosen at the beginning of the lesson will be the same until the end of the lesson? (Beginner & Experience Lessons).

Thanks before, best regards.

Kris.

There are 3 primary categories of tutorials on GT.

1. Core Learning System. This is an integrated step by step curriculum of lessons that start at absolute beginner.

There are 3 instructors that teach Fundamentals Courses.  You can toggle between Anders & Lisa's GF courses.  And I did an older GF course.  Most of the content is similar in structure, but there are slightly different approaches by each of us.

My older GF 1 course.

My older GF 2 course.

Anders is the only instructor for the current Acoustic, Blues, Country & Rock guided Style courses.  There are older courses by other instructors & those tutorials can be found in their individual instructor directories.

2. Song Catalog. This is all the songs GT has the secured the rights to teach.  Songs are taught by a wide variety of instructors.

3. Instructor Directories. These are more specialized topics, sometimes organized in sub-categories. You can view the instructors & their specialty here. This is where you dive deeper into the skills & ideas that taught in the courses.  These are also where you will find the various song tutorials but organized by instructor.

For example, I have over a thousand lesson on various topics, organized by topic or focus.

Lisa also has tons of other lesson.

We encourage all beginners to work through the Fundamentals courses, then the style course of their choice. If your knowledge & skill level is beyond the Fundamentals material, then skip to the styles!

At any level you should look for songs you enjoy, want to play & are close to your skill level.

If you have a question about a certain topic, or how to do some skill, please ask! The GT database of lessons is enormous! That's one reason the forum is here, to help you find the resources you desire.

Hope that helps! Please ask more if necessary & have fun!

Hi Chris,

I have followed your lesson today but not all of it, thanks for your information thats what I thought only Lisa and Anders too many instructors will make the students little bit confused specially me. 😁

Thanks for the links, I'll just finish my GF Level 2 first then straight to your lessons and yes you are right I can explore other instructors material, trick, and different method, I just need the basic the most.

Thank you so much 👌✌
