Hi folks,

I'm Joe, this is not the first time trying to learn to play the guitar but I guarantee it will be my last. Either I master this thing or die trying (literally).  My son is a musician and is certain that I'll quit in six months (he's looking foraward to getting my guitar :) ).  If I do nothing else I'm motivated to prove him wrong.

I love to fish so I bought a boat.  It's getting too cold to get out on the lake now.  I do some woodworking but I'm between projects.  I figured I have to time now to fully dedicate myself to learning to play the guitar.  This has been a wish of mine for 50 years.  Here goes!

Your son should look forward to disappointment, then; you're with GT now! I guarantee you, now that you're here, it won't be the last time you'll pick up a guitar...

Am I the only one who plays multiple instruments? Let's be inspirational and find our muses everyday!

Hey Joe, we can't wait to see you on the other side of mastery. With plenty of practice and dedication you can prove your son wrong. He can have that guitar when your fingers can no longer play it šŸ˜œ .

Similar story. I've wanted (and tried a few times) during my life to play. Running a business and raising a family kept getting in the way. I'm now retired with plenty of time. Started 2 1/2 years ago at age 66 and I'm really doing it!  I play (learn/practice) a minimum of 2 hours a day, seven days a week. Loving every minute of it and feeling very fulfilled.
