I think what Jon meant by "rock" guitarists was anything rock oriented like metal, blues, soft rock, whatever. Metal is just another form of rock. I probably would've become a host by now, but Jon just wants to make this site more than rock oriented. I'm sure if you email him, he would be glad to discuss it with you. After all he is in charge of that. Nobody else can help you out with your problem but him.
