Hi Mike

Lovin the Friday night live lessons.  You mentioned in one of the recent weeks what you use for effects during the lessons but I can't recall or seem to find it.  Can you post the processor you use for effects.  Look forward to seeing the reverse paranormal tele again soon.

Thanks

Hi there - thanks for hanging with us on YouTube Friday nights!

The setup I use at home for the YouTube streams is the Fractal Axe FX III. When I shoot song content for GuitarTricks, I use my Apple Macbook Pro laptop and various audio Plug-Ins for the guitar amp simulations.

Hope this helps! I'll break out the TeleMaster again soon!

Mike

Look foraward to it every week!

Great info!  exactly what I was looking for.  Do you recommend an effects processor over pedals?

Sounds good, look forward to seeing the tele!

See you shortly.

Thank you

I recommend multi-fx processors over pedals for beginning guitarists as they allow you to try out a wide variety of effects and hear what they can do.

However, many guitarists prefer pedals over multi-fx processors for the simplicity - less options and real knobs to twist and turn - compared with navigating complex menus and hooking up a computer to the processor to edit patches.

It all comes down to which you prefer!

Hope this makes sense!

Still catching your Fridays on a 2 day catch up in the uk.

some too advanced but usually manage to glean something that enters the old cells.

More so on the acoustic and finger style sessions.

you need to tattoo the model of your Martin acoustic on the back of your hand.

you get asked every other lesson.

you know it's like golf , if we buy the kit the pro's use we have to get better.

If only that was the case

Hey Dave - thanks for checking out the Friday sessions!

I've got to be better at remembering that it is a Martin MMV! Apparently it is some sort of Guitar Center Exclusive that is similar to a D-15. I do love it!

Cheers!

Excellent insights.  Sounds like a multi-fx processor may be the way to go.

Not sure which I would prefer as I have never used either so it's all new.

Totally makes sense.  May have to do some more research and try to determine which direction to begin with.

Thanks again, lookin forward to Rythm Styles this evening!

Hey Mike

Checked into your effects processor and it's probably a little advanced for me and definately out of my budget.  What is your opinion on the Boss GT-1?

Ah yes the Fractal stuff is a bit pricey!  I don't have any hands on experience with the GT-1, but Boss stuff is always great - I'm sure you'd be happy with it!

Hey Mike

Haha yes it is and probably much more than I would need at this stage of my learning.  Sounds excellent, it does have excellent reviews.  Appreciate your insights.

Thank you
