Hi,
I'm a previous subscriber and chose not to renew after January of 2021. I'm considering coming back. I'd love it if anyone can tell me if the app works better and if the mobile browser has improved? Most importantly has the looping feature been fixed? In the past, it only worked (and this was inconsistent) on desktop web browsers.
I hated to leave as I think the content here is amazing. Hoping the devs have put in some work in these improvements. [br][br]

I am only using web browser so can't really help you, mate.[br][br][br]There are lots of little flaws that are super annoying... Actually I have canceled my auto-renewal after 5 years here... Still debating should I stay another year or try different service.
Content wise, I am very happy. Still have tons to learn for another 20 years maybe. But little things like video playback, basic resolution change that keeps changing by itself when you switch fullscreen/windowed mode, etc/ are still a mess and they have not been really fixed/improved for the last 5 years... so...
Can't say nothing about mobile app but the browser and everything else by the look of it hasn't changed much if at all. I don't think it did.[br][br][br]I am the person who is an advocate of "if it's not broken, don't try fixing it..." and I am happy with the service except for small bugs that have not been fixed for years... and THAT drives me crazy and pushes me from time to time if I should stick around.[br][br]Personally I've found a couple things like:
1. selected video resolution SHOULD NOT change by itself when you toggle between fullscreen/windowed mode.
2. you should not be able to ffw or rewind beyond loop points + it's a mess when you toogle between fullscreen/windowed mode... different places on a playline like wtf... basic thing, right?
3. this one pushes me over the line the most... Ocasionally my FAVOURITES (which is my daily routine plan and so much more) goes nuts... and gets all mixed up... on its own... Not all of it... just a couple of favourited lessons are all over the place and I have to waste my precious time to re-order/fix it again, sometimes you cannot, sometimes it is such a mess that you cannot do anyhting about it... Then somehow it all works again... but your wasted time and nerves... well...
4. spell checker doesn't work in FORUM section
and problably some more... Little things really. But enough to grind you down over time and think about testing something else maybe.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like nothing's changed. That's a shame. So much good content that deserves a better user experience. [br][br]

I use both the app and the website. The main difference is that I access the website to get on the forum. Other than that, I've had no issues with the app or the website, for that matter. So far, so good.

You don't find the poor interface and functionality for looping sections to be problematic at all? It was so bad last I used it. Compared to the Sound Slice platform, the proprietary interface for GT is just so bad. I was hoping they had made improvements to it.
This was my biggest reason for leaving GT. tgchan mentions in his reply a few other key issues that don't seem have been addressed either.
In my experience the looping feature was slightly better via a web browser in a non-mobile environment. Not good enough though. On mobile it was horrendous.
Any chance a GT admin/support person will chime in on this?
If an admin/support person does read this, I do understand that you have committed to your proprietary platform. The question is: Have you improved it over the past year and do you have a roadmap with a plan to bring it to the level of quality of Sound Slice?
I will add another super annoying little thing; jam track volumes are all over the place. Some of them are okay, some super loud (easy to fix with a slider) but many of them are just too quiet making it hard to practice to/ - not really fixable on the users' end. You just have to play quieter to match the low volume of the jam track...

It'd be cool if a staff member from GT would join this conversation. I know we're bringing up the hard questions so it's easier to just ignore us. This is valuable customer feedback though.
