I'm an old guy starting a new hobby. Starting at absolutely ground zero and working my way through the lessons. I picked up a second-hand Alvarez AD-60 a couple of weeks back and am slowly toughening up my finger tips!

I can't be sure what you consider "an old guy". But I think the geezer index on here is going to be higher than what you might expect. I'm included in that index. And there are a lot of us on here that took this up in retirement.

best of luck to you. Keep us posted on your progress.

Best of luck, Solo77... I had to chuckle because my in my old Harley riding days my nickname was Solo, so that was a nice memory. Jump on in with both feet. We old-timers got this.

Hi Everyone ![br]Ive been interested in Music from School. Had Drama and singing lessons in London, A little bit of guitar self taught and Music Teachers over a few years and now back at the guitar this last two years but new to Guitar tricks. In all that time nobody has ever showed me how to hold a pick until Lisa at fundamental stage 1.Will soon be at stage 2.

Welcome, Solo. Yes, you're in good (old) company.[br][br]Job security, Lisa – all us Boomers starting guitar. I'm near the end of Fundamentals 1 after five months, but I'm staying here till I improve a bunch of skills on this binder full of your songs. Thanks!

Go back and get your Harley Jim! As we turn into fall I am still riding, although I finally gave into buying a heated Corbin seat. Gets cold up here! 44 years and still counting.

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!
