I picked up guitar 3 years ago, but stopped playing during grad school for the past two years. In fact, I actually was dumb enough to sell my Strat because I was convinced I wasn't playing again.

I went to the Rock Hall this summer and was both inspired and sad that I had given up. So, I saved some money this summer and purchased an acoustic guitar and I am now going through Beginner 2 course.

I'm a bit older, but I know that if I start now I will have the rest of my lifetime to enjoy music.

Hi Footey,

Good for you starting up guitar again! I'm close to being done with Fundamentals 2. Since you just finished grad school, I imagine you're not very old...lol. You will have lots of time having fun with guitar... good luck!

Grad school in what??

And, yes, you do have the rest of your life to enjoy music. I actually quit playing in undergrad when I got married. Messed around with it on rare occasion in grad school. Don't do like I did and wait until retirement to get back to it!

Best of luck to you with the acoustic and Beginner 2.

Yes. You're a bit older than you were (aren't we all), but way younger than a lot of new- or coming-back-to-guitar people on this forum. It can be tough to find enough time when you are young, establishing a career, attending to family responsibilities, etc. I guess you have to be disciplined enough to make the time. Best of luck.
