I don't consider myself that talented, but I can change chords and at least strum a rhythm. That's more than a whole bunch of other people can say, and it's not like I got interested in the guitar to please other people. I got interested for my own sake and am not looking to perform for anyone.

Sounds like you did well with your guitar purchase. I have an Eastman AC420 that's nicer than I deserve, and a NEX-sized Aiersi that I got on Amazon for $100 back in December that's nicer than its price tag would suggest.
