Yeah, what Jeff said. It takes patience and repetition. I'm 50 (51 this month) and started three years ago. I've made a ton of progress. Building finger strengh and toughening the fingers is important and takes a while. I've come to think of learning a song as programming my brain and the brain likes slow, consistent repetition. Then sleep to process it all.
