Why jumping up to 9 and come back to 3 and 5 when the other is right there?[/quote][p]As Carl said it's likely a mistake. Exactly that sort of thing happens in the guitar notation software (Guitar Pro, Powertab) often if you are not careful.

That said it's possible that the note is tapped with the picking hand, or that the original performer did play it that way for whatever reason. But it's most likely just a mistake.

There can be a slight difference in the timbre. Lower strings are typically a little more bassy & "woobie" sounding. And since the string has a shorter distance to ring it vibrates a little more tightly. If you play the same note on a higher string you will get a slightly brighter, more trebly, but looser sound, because the string is thinner & also there is more string to vibrate.

Same pitch, different timbre. :)
