Hello there

Hi everyone , I'm Austin from England (UK)

Been messing around with guitars for a long time.

when I was 16 got a guitar & oasis chord songbook , self taught using chord boxes & went on like that.

But exactly that (messing around)

I pick up my guitar not often ( before lock down) & happily strum a few tunes I know.

But since I've had a lot more time on my hands I've played every day ( even purchased a new amp)

been watching videos on you tube etc & realise how much I don't know, but want to learn.

So here I am, going to start right from the beginning & hope it'll be the best decision I made

When I joined I started with Lisa McCormick's Guitar Basics courses. I've been playing for years (lots of noodling as well) but no matter how much you might already know, those two courses are solid gold. She definitely has complete command of the instrument and a knack for teaching which is in itself a rare thing to find as a student.

Like you I feel like through the years I missed a few basics that are holding me back. So far GT is helping me fill in those blanks. Good luck!

I've looked further along the course & the music reading section is something I'm not looking forward too.

I tried about 10 years ago, it made me lose interest in the guitar for a long time has I found it very boring.

Just gotter go into with a positive attitude & approach
