If I check the intonation by fretting at 12th fret and compare that with the open tuning, my 12th fret is always sharp. I assume this is as expected becasue as soon as I fret a string It is naturally going to be sharp. Should this be allowed for when adjusting the intonation?

Hi there,

The intonation sometimes is not perfect, which is okay! But it should not be sharp either! It's possible to adjust intonation by moving your saddles. Check out this lesson with Gary about intonation: https://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=29810
