My problem is that when I´m practising I can count the bars of each chord. For example Gx2 Dx4 A1 etc.
But when I play the song and try to sing it I´m completely unable to count the bars.
any piece of advice???

At least one of those tasks has to be completely memorized or automated. For many guitar playing singers, this means to have the guitar part so completely set in memory that you could play it in your sleep without even thinking about it. Practice it to the point that it is completely second nature. Then you can focus on the singing & where you are in the song.
Hope that helps!
