Hi Gang, my name is Dave and I'm a 54 year old beginner. Very similar story to so many here! I've always wanted to play guitar. I actually took some lessons when I was about 11 or 12 but didn't get too far.

I have started to write a long introductory story here three or four times and realized that I was going on for paragraphs, maybe a bit too much! So, suffice it to say that I am happy to be here at Guitar Tricks and I'll probably be sharing more of my story along the way.

I'm enjoying the journey with Lisa as my tour guide and mentor so far, about 60% through Fundamentals 1.

I am enthusiastic about the supportive community I'm seeing here and I'm looking forward to sharing experiences with everyone along the way.

Stay healthy everyone!

Dave...

Hi Dave... I'm 52 and on my 3rd (and last) reboot of learning to play guitar. I finished Lisa's 2 beginner-steps this summer and on to the "experienced" lessons (not really feeling experienced). You are not alone on this trail and I think the GT method is sound. Welcome to GT.
