Hi everyone,

Billy with Guitartricks here. Would anyone be up for recording a song together?

It would work like this:

1. We choose a song from the GT songs library.

2. Everyone that wants to participate, record yourself playing the song, or part of the song and then post it to YouTube and then put the YouTube link in this forum.

3. We will compile a bunch of the videos / clips and it will form a completed song (whichever it may be).

This would be a fun way to showcase some of the skills from GT users!

Would that work? Is this possible? Let me know your thoughts!

A very ambitious project Billy. I'd be up for it providing the song was within my range.

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

Oh, wow! I'd totally be up for that. Sadly, I have no means to record and haven't got a clue how to use YouTube. Ć°ÅøĖœĀ

I'd participate. Not much of value probably, but I'd participate.

Kind of like what they do at Playing For Change?

What I would like to see is a lesson on how to use a drum/bass machine for practice or simply for our own entertainment. [br]many of us are in situations where we will never play in a band or with others and are strictly home hobbyists.

if this type of lesson already exists on the site, please disregard the request.. Ć°Åøā€˜Ā

That's not what he is asking Slack. He is asking if you want to record a song or part of a song and they will patch it together.

Not trying to be rude, by why jack a thread with such a focussed objective and steer it in another direction? It adds nothing to this discussion. If you have a particular lesson requirement there are avenues availalbe for that.

Are you in or out?

I would like to throw my two fingers worth into this project, sounds like it would be fun and a great learning experience.

A good way to network with fellow guitarists also.
