I've been playing guitar for about a year now. I did start a little before that by trying to learn by osmose but that was a major fail on my part and I gave up. But for the past year I've been playing rhythm guitar with some friends and I love it. But I am so new to this so I can only do basic things and I don't understand any theory yet. Tbh. Most of the time at practice I must put all my focus and attention to stay in the rhythm and on time so I haven't yet done more then easy strumming pattern and keeping a steady beat.

But I came here to learn and will spend time both at this forum and watching videos and learning more skils and mechanics from all the video lessons here at the guitartrick site.

Will also hunt the forum for gold and gems and try to get at least a basic foundation of the theory into my brain.

Hi bouncee!

Welcome!

There is a good amount of fundamental theory taught in my course, Guitar Fundamentals, Level 2.

That might be a good place to start.
