Hi.

My devices ( Xbox and Kindle), can't display 4k videos, which all tutorials now seem to auto-launch in. I get a scrambled green screen and it sometimes crashes my browser. I have to reset the video to 1080 in order to watch every single time. I've had a look in the settings but can see any way to disable 4k or launch at 1080 as my preference instead.

Does this option exist, or can it be implemented?

Thanks.

Hi Poundhound,

I'm sorry to hear you're having playback issues. One thing to note is that our web player is not optimized for game consoles, and crashes like that can happen. The best experience is to either watch on your mobile devices with physical connection, or running a cable from your computer into your TV.

Have you tried watching lessons on another device and have you encountered similar issues?

Hi.

Thanks for your reply.

I know this is very odd, but I don't have a pc or a smart phone. So, I'm stuck with my console and Kindle Fire. Both have been working fine up until a couple of days ago, now both are incapable of running your 4k videos.

Is there a way to select a preferred resolution? When the video stsrts I can change it, but the next clip resets to 4k again.

Thanks.

Usually, when you select a quality, the quality will stay persistent across all of your videos you watch. However, the browser settings on the Xbox and Kindle may not be registering this. At the moment, we've noted the issue and we're looking for a fix!

Thanks. It's a small thing but surprisingly irritating :)
