Typically an INTJ (such as yours truly) has little interest, therefore energy, in anything outside the individuals scope of interest. Interest can be and should be interpreted as personal gain (edit gain, maybe be structured). It is this aspect that can be interpreted incorrectly by some, as a good INTJ will manipulate circumstances to their advantage whenever possible.
